What's the point of art?

To get people feeling and talking. And one piece of art temporarily installed in Richmond has done just that.

Miss Mao Trying to Poise Herself at the Top of Lenin's Head by artists The Gao Brothers, installed at Elmbridge and Alderbridge Way, has definitely got people talking. This piece is a part of the Vancouver Biennale 2009-2011.

One of the Biennale's mandates is to "celebrate art in public spaces." Here's an article Tiffany looked up from the Vancouver Sun about this giant sculpture:
